Anchor of Hope
In a day where there is so much chaos and seemingly hopelessness situations, we want to focus on the hope and security we find in a personal relationship with God. Hebrews 6:19 says, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”
The stories shared are personal stories from a variety of people from our church that want to encourage others along this walk we call “life”. We can all use some encouragement and hope these days and there is no better place to find this than in the hope that we have in Christ who truly provides an anchor for the soul.
Be encouraged as you read or listen to each heartfelt story from the hearts of others.
Fully Satisfied
Written by Glenda Atamanchuk
We pray when we really need something and then we let God know what we think is the best way for Him to help us. We are way more interested in the help He offers than in Jesus himself.
Trauma and Healing
Written by Paul Jefferson
I had to admit that I didn’t know what God was doing or even what He would do that would be positive but I had to trust Him. I also had to admit that I too struggled with completely trusting in the goodness of God.
Tracks in the Snow

Are you prepared for what 2024 will bring? I don’t know what my year will hold any more than you do but I do know that my Heavenly Father will walk alongside me through it all.
A No Pressure New Year
Written by Jess Wang
Your attempts to be good or even perfect can only get you so far – eventually, your human efforts will fall short. So what hope do we have?
Are You Ready?
Written by Pastor Sean Brandow
This Christmas, are you ready to receive Jesus? Or, have the circumstances of your life left you bitter at God, feeling abandoned, hurt or distant? God himself has stepped down into our darkness and given His life for you and me. He has not forgotten you!
Chasing Stars
Written by Pastor Sean Brandow
You see, whatever extraordinary uses God might employ to get your attention — dreams, visions, nature, or other things — He draws us to meet the Son through the Bible. There is no way to God except through Jesus and Jesus is revealed to us in the Pages of Scripture.
Beautiful Feet

God has SENT people to tell you the Good News and if you’re hearing it, this news is for you.
A New Hope
Written by Pastor Sean Brandow
God speaks and has spoken. That alone is an incredible truth. But the Christmas season remembers and celebrates the phenomenal moment in time that a “NEW HOPE” is born. God steps down into our mess. Jesus the Son of God is born. According to the writer of Hebrews…God now speaks through the SON. “New Hope” for a broken, scared, embattled, enslaved, and rebellious world.
Point of View
Written by Nancy Jefferson
I need to trust in God and see things from His point of view. He provides my hope and my assurance that He has a plan, and His point of view is way better than mine.
The War Has Been Won
Written by Heather Block
We ourselves can still be trying to fight a battle against hopelessness and sin but our Lord Jesus Christ says, “Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
For Such A Time As This
Written by Glenda Atamanchuk
How many of us get so caught up in the circumstances around us, and our fear of what is going to happen that we lose sight of God’s sovereignty and His hand in our lives? Has God put us where we are exactly for such a time as this?
Up in Flames
Written by Pastor Noah Wieler
We have a God who offers to save us and to give us a new place to live, a place in His presence. You wouldn't turn down a firefighter who is trying to save your home from flames, would you then turn down Christ who is trying to save you?
Undeniably God
Written by Harlan Block
God leads and directs us and has a specific plan for each one of us. Psalm 139:16 says, “Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” God has a plan, a story and a direction for your life.
A Scientist Like Me
Written by Paul Jefferson
To believe that the conditions required for life have happened by chance is just too hard for a scientist like me to believe.
Calloused Hearts
Written by Pastor Sean Brandow
Just as the workers’ hands develop callouses by constant exposure, many people who are repeatedly exposed to spiritual revelation can grow insensitive to the weight of what is being spoken. We know the words; we know the right thing to say in response and yet our hearts are far removed from the reality of these truths and their implications on our lives.
Shocking Fish
Written by Heather Block
God has reached down to mankind to save him and yet we wrestle to get away from God’s loving reach thinking He is “out to get us”, or, “I don’t think I will like what God is wanting to do with my life”. We struggle against yielding our life to Him thinking we may not like His plan and then, going our own way, we bring upon ourselves our own demise.
What If?

But remember God’s promise. Even though you walk through the fires and the floods, you will not be burned and you will not drown. The end result might not look the way you hoped it would. You might be feeling angry, lonely, or disappointed. But I know for certain that God walks with us through our most dark and difficult times.
Learning to Float
Written by Nancy Jefferson
Many times, when I am faced with fears, I have to take them to God and trust him to work things out. When my children or husband are traveling, sometimes to different countries and I have no control over what is happening around them I border on the feeling of panic, but I’ve learned to trust that God loves them more than I do.
